Practice

Jackson is a Partner at Jackson & Lyon LLP. He previously practised as a solicitor from 2010 – 2015 and was called to the Bar in 2015. 

His practice encompasses a wide range of civil and commercial matters such as insurance, commercial disputes, landlord & tenant work, but increasingly professional negligence, complex family disputes, money laundering and Proceeds of Crime (POCA).  

He has been involved previously in various high profile cases in discrimination and equality cases and government related or public interest cases such as cases:

  • Wang & Anor, R (On the Application Of) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2021] EWCA Civ 679 (11 May 2021)

  • AL & Others (Malaysia BOCs) Malaysia [2009] UKAIT 00026

Jackson is a fluent Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese speaker and is high profile community figure within the British Chinese communities for his work on various high profile and well publicised legal cases relating to them. His linguistic skillset and practice mean that he is frequently instructed by international clients. 

Jackson is also a local councillor and previously worked in UK Parliament for 7 years as a political advisor and as a senior director and strategist in WPP, one of the world’s largest communications company. He has also previously held various senior positions in UK Conservative Party.
