Colin graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a BSc in Economics in 2015.
Before Colin entered the legal field, Colin pursued a career in the financial compliance sector after graduating with his undergraduate degree with experience in financial crimes investigation within the commercial sector. His work involved anti-money laundering, fraud, tax evasion and avoidance whilst providing meticulous analysis of complex commercial structures involving politically exposed personnel, trusts and significant cross-border coverage across a range of jurisdictions in APAC, Central Asia, Europe, the UK and USA. Working alongside financial regulators has prompted his interest in the legal profession.
Colin has vast experience maintaining client relationships from frequently working with high-net-worth individuals and C-Suite Executives.
Aspiring to become a solicitor, Colin returned to the UK. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at BPP University in 2020 with commendation and the Legal Practice Course with Master’s in law, Business and Management from the University of Law in 2021 with distinction.
Before joining Jackson Lyon LLP, Colin interned at various law firms in Hong Kong and London, practising in civil litigation, conveyancing, wills, and probates.
Colin speaks native English, Cantonese Chinese and fluent Mandarin.
